Learn to Drive with EDT Driving Lessons in Kerry
The Essential Drivers Training (EDT) course comprises 12 one-hour lessons that aim to teach a learner-driver the essential skills of driving safely and properly on the roads. It is a mandatory course that you must complete if you want to learn to drive. This is the minimum eligibility criteria you must meet to be able to apply for a driving test.

What to Expect from Your Driving Lessons?
Once you sign up for your driving course with Kerry School of Driving, we will begin by preparing you for the EDT lessons. During the orientation session, we will let you know about the 12 lessons as well as the background reading you must do before beginning the course.
It is important to note that a learner’s permit is mandatory before you can begin your EDT lessons. We can tell you how to procure your learner permit.During your first EDT lesson as well as for each subsequent lesson, your ADI instructor will check your learner’s permit, and if you are using your own car, will check to ensure your car’s motor tax, insurance, NCT and road-worthiness are in place.
We will provide a logbook with your name, date of birth, address and learner permit number. You must bring this logbook to every lesson so your ADI can fill in the appropriate sections after every lesson.
